Safety At Highland Activities
Safety With Enjoyment In The Outdoors!
Although outdoor activities do always have an inherent risk at Highland Activities we understand that safety is in the forefront of most people’s mind when taking part in an adventure sport or outdoor experience.
Through regular risk assessments, policy reviews and maintaining a high standard of equipment & staff, Highland Activities will endeavour to ensure that your activity is as safe as possible. We will also always try to ensure that we do not remove the elements of adventure from our activities because after all, this is what makes them fun and exciting!
AALA Licencing
The Adventure Activities licencing service is the body that is responsible for the issuing of adventure activities licences on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive to outdoor operators that wish to work with young people unsupervised in the outdoors.
Although this is not a requirement for any operator to have when working in the outdoors with young people accompanied by their parents it is a great stamp for any company to have and reassurance for anyone concerned about safety.
Highland Activities hold a current AALA licence and have had since 2009. This means that we are inspected once per year and our policies, procedures, staff and equipment are all looked at. This also gives Highland Activities to keep up to date with current best practice in the industry.
