By Road

Aviemore is very accessable place by road being on the main A9 from Perth to Inverness and no more than two hours away from Edinburgh & Glasgow or half an hour from Inverness.

From Glasgow
Follow the M80 to Stirling which later becomes the M9/A9 to Perth. Continue on the A9 until you reach the Dalwhinnie turnoff. At Dalwhinnie take the A889 to Laggan. Then follow the A86 towards Spean Bridge until you reach our meeting point and car parking area at the old Camas Cillien filling station at Kinloch Laggan. Distance from Glasgow is 126 miles

From Edinburgh
Take the M90 to Perth. Continue on the A9 until you reach the Dalwhinnie turnoff. At Dalwhinnie take the A889 to Laggan. Then follow the A86 towards Spean Bridge until you reach our meeting point and car parking area at the old Camas Cillien filling station at Kinloch Laggan. Distance from Edinburgh is 122 miles

From Aberdeen
Follow the A96 to Keith and then the A95 to Kinveachy junction. Take the A9 south to Kingussie and then then A86 towards Spean Bridge/Fort William.

The scenic route. Follow the A944 to Mosset and join the A97 to Strathdon which changes back onto the A944 to Tomintoul. Follow the A939 to Grantown (which takes you over the Lecht). At Grantown you join the A95 and follow the signs to Aviemore and Kingussie until you reach our meeting point and car parking area at the old Camas Cillien filling station at Kinloch Laggan. Distance is 122 miles.

From Inverness & Aviemore
Follow the A9 to Kingussie and then the A86 to Spean Bridge until you reach our meeting point and car parking area at the old Camas Cillien filling station at Kinloch Laggan. Distance is 60 miles

Visitors without their own transport can either rail or bus into Kingussie or Newtonmore and then hire a taxi to reach the estate. Unfortunately we are unable offer a collection or drop off service.

From Fort William – 30 miles
Follow the A82 North to Spean Bridge. Turn right at Spean Bridge onto the A86 and follow the road for 22 miles until you reach our meeting point and car parking area at the old Camas Cillien filling station at Kinloch Laggan.

By Air

The nearest airport to Aviemore is Inverness which is less than 1.5 hours drive please click here for further information on routes and details on getting to us from the airport.

By Bus

By Rail
An overnight train, the Caledonian Sleeper, departs London Euston 6 nights per week, delivering you to the heart of the Cairngorm National Park the next morning.

Please note that there is no public transport link to Ardverikie Estate once you arrive in Aviemore town centre by train so car or minibus hire will be required if you are arriving via this method.

By Air
Aviemore is a two & a half to three hour drive from Glasgow airport & two & a half hour drive from Edinburgh airport and an hour from Inverness airport.
